Quilts of Hope

This fall, Sally Jo Divis ’68 and her quilting group crafted 22 quilts for UC San Diego’s Hope Scholars Program, which provides support to about 60 former foster and homeless youth. “Quilts are family things, things you pass down,” Divis told the students this October. “I want you all to know that you’re family now.” Divis hopes the quilts will be a piece of comfort to students as they begin their undergraduate experience at UC San Diego.
